FOPH monitoring: Swiss cannabis market grows to CHF 630 M in 2026

The updated FOPH market report estimates the total consumption market at CHF 630 M — up 8 % versus 2024.

The Swiss Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH) published the Cannabis Monitoring Report 2026. Roughly 220,000 people consume cannabis weekly; the total market reaches CHF 630 M, of which 87 % sits outside the regulated channel.

The regulated market share (pilots + CBD < 1 %) grew from 5 % to 13 % within a year.
