Local context

Weed Care requires residence in the canton of Basel-Stadt. Allschwil and Liestal are in Basel-Landschaft instead. Working in Basel does not replace the residence requirement. Check personal eligibility and the project’s current status directly with its team. Assignment of an authorised study to a canton establishes neither a sales location in this city nor residents’ eligibility. Check the project’s territory, recruitment and personal eligibility conditions with the study itself.

How it works

Your member account connects you with the community, its information and published offers. THC access through Weed Care depends on confirmed study admission. These are separate processes.

Basel-Stadt and Basel-Landschaft are different cantons

Basel, Riehen and Bettingen belong to Basel-Stadt; Allschwil belongs to Basel-Landschaft. Conditions applying in one canton do not automatically cover every address in the Basel area.

Weed Care: contact the study before choosing a pharmacy

The project works with participating pharmacies. Ask its team whether admission is possible and which dispensing location applies to you. A pharmacy address alone does not establish participation.

Commuting across the border does not create access rights

Living in France or Germany and working in Basel does not amount to residence in Basel-Stadt. Swiss study permission also does not, by itself, allow cannabis to be carried across a national border.

Compare prices within the same access route

Study products, openly offered CBD products and prescribed medicines have different conditions. Compare quantity, composition and total cost for a specific offer; this page confirms no current study price.

Check with the study before relying on access after a move

Moving from Basel to Allschwil changes your canton of residence. Before another purchase, ask the study how that affects admission and your assigned dispensing location.

Keep membership and access checks separate

The club lets you follow developments and published member offers. Membership promises neither a study place nor priority in future THC sales. The applicable conditions must still be met.

Identify the product and its intended use

“Weed” is an everyday term, not a precise legal category. Establish whether the product contains less than 1% or at least 1% total THC and its intended use. An authorised trial and a medical prescription are different access routes. A member account, announcement or indicative price does not create another exemption.

Match the report to the offered batch

An analysis is useful only when you know which sample was tested. Match the batch number, product description, date, units and tested parameters to the offered goods. An attractive PDF or a general certificate for a variety does not establish that connection. Check detection and quantification limits as well: “not detected” does not mean a substance is ruled out under every circumstance. A cannabinoid report does not answer every question about contaminants. Relevant tests depend on the product and its intended use. This guide does not certify any particular batch or declare a product risk-free.

Compare costs on a consistent basis

Compare the same category, equivalent package sizes and comparable declared composition. A price per gram can help for flower; for oil, the amount of CBD in the entire bottle also matters. A cheaper bottle is not necessarily better value when volume or concentration differs. Add shipping, minimum quantities and other actual charges. A calculation based on chosen prices shows only what follows from those assumptions. It does not establish an average shop price, a current club price or savings on your order. Keep the dated product description so that you can check subsequent discrepancies against the original offer.

What to establish before obtaining a product

Before obtaining a product, identify the supplier, the product category and the legal basis for the intended access route. Check specific stock, shipping terms and batch documents. A nationwide website or a page bearing your canton’s name does not establish a local collection point. An announced event is not yet a deliverable offer. A shipping method alone does not guarantee an arrival date either. Our existing registration gives access to a member account; it does not replace these checks. For THC products, the applicable legal conditions remain independent of club membership.

Federal law and local responsibilities

The canton’s name places this guide geographically. It changes neither the federal classification based on total THC nor the requirements for the product category. Authorities and proceedings may be organised at cantonal level; claiming “there are hardly any checks here” without reliable evidence is not a sound basis for a decision. The table therefore establishes no local tolerance ranking, verified shop density or general plant allowance. For a specific official decision, the facts, deadlines and stated appeal rights matter. The FOPH register describes authorised studies, rather than unrestricted access for everyone living in a canton.

Driving, treatment and crossing borders

A Swiss product description does not settle import rules in another country or the conditions for personal carriage. Before travelling, check the destination and transit countries’ rules for the specific product, including any medical documentation required. A CBD label does not confer blanket permission to cross a border. It does not establish fitness to drive either. During treatment, use, interactions and driving require individual advice; this purchasing guide supplies no dosage or treatment promise. Storage and use depend on the actual product and its permissible instructions rather than a general cannabis slogan.
