CBD bulk prices & logic for partners

How our bulk pricing logic works — and why there is no classic tiered discount table.

TL;DR

  • No tiered discount table – one structural Partner price per batch.
  • Prices come directly from a Swiss producer.
  • Bulk (trim, biomass, raw oil) priced separately.
  • Visible in the Partner area as soon as a drop opens.

Why no tiered pricing?

Classic B2B tiers (5 kg / 10 kg / 25 kg) reward volume but push negotiation into every conversation. We work with a status: Partner = structurally best price. Larger volumes are reflected in the drop system without renegotiating each time.

How bulk pricing is formed

Bulk goods (trim, biomass, isolates) have different price drivers than retail flowers: moisture, contaminant profile, THC/CBD ratio, origin. Each batch is assessed individually and released in the drop. Raw oil follows the same logic.

Relationship to retail prices

Retail CBD prices in Switzerland and Europe are typically 2–4× the wholesale price. That's not a random margin – it covers retail cost, marketing, complaint risk and taxes. Partners can plan their margin predictably.

What a bulk price is actually made of

The kilo price of a CBD batch is not a negotiation result but the sum of cultivation, drying and curing, trimming, analytics, packaging, storage and loss risk. Indoor carries electricity and climate costs that greenhouse or outdoor do not; indoor batches therefore sit structurally higher regardless of order size. An offer promising indoor quality at outdoor pricing almost always signals weak analytics, aged goods or skipped hand-trim.

The second cost block is compliance. A lot with full accredited-lab analytics, a clean batch number and a documented storage chain costs more than anonymous goods — and is worth more on resale, because the merchant can evidence their own duty of care.

  • Cultivation type (indoor / greenhouse / outdoor) = biggest price driver
  • Hand-trim vs machine trim: look and price
  • Analytics and traceability are part of the price
  • Moisture content changes the effective weight

Reseller maths: from kilo price to margin

A shop does not calculate on purchase price but on contribution per unit sold. One kilo becomes 100 units of 10 g or 200 of 5 g; every fill costs packaging, label and labour, and creates loss through crumbs and abrasion. Expect 2–5 % shrink between bulk weight and sold weight.

Three numbers make a clean calculation: landed cost per gram including freight and duty, packing cost per unit, and expected shelf time. Goods sitting six months lose terpenes and with them selling arguments — slow rotation is more expensive than a slightly higher purchase price with better freshness.

FAQ

Do I get an extra discount above X kg?

No — the Partner price is already the structurally best one. Higher volumes are rewarded through better availability and priority access.

Do I see prices before becoming a Partner?

Publicly we show price ranges. Concrete drop prices are only visible in the Partner area because they move per batch.

Can I combine bulk with flowers?

Yes, when drop availability allows. Combined orders are coordinated via the dedicated contact.

Why aren't your prices published as a public tier list?

Because batches differ. The partner price applies per drop and per batch; a static ladder would either be too high on cheap lots or unrealistic on limited genetics.

How much do bulk prices move across the year?

The market is cheapest after the autumn outdoor harvest; prices firm up in early summer as stored goods become scarcer and less fresh.
