CBD on Airplanes — what you can carry
Security check ≠ customs. At the airport, two authorities decide: aviation security (what boards the plane) and customs at destination (what's legal in-country). Both must agree.
Carry-on: CBD oils in containers ≤100 ml, all liquids together ≤1 L (LAG rule). Checked: technically unlimited, but destination law applies. Within EU/Schengen with <0.2 % THC usually fine. USA: TSA allows hemp CBD <0.3 % THC since 2019. Asia: very restrictive, often fully banned.
Carry-on rules (security)
Liquids (LAG): individual containers max 100 ml, all together in a 1-liter clear bag. Applies to CBD oils, tinctures, vapes with liquid.
CBD flowers and hash: no liquid issue, but security may suspect cannabis → check, police call possible.
Customs at destination — country overview
EU/Schengen: <0.2 % THC formally legal. CBD flowers still contested in DE, FR, IT (Novel Food) — oils fine.
UK: stricter since Brexit. CBD as Novel Food requires FSA authorization for sale, personal import tolerated (30-day supply).
