Chemistry
Chemically, HHC-P is a terpenophenol (meroterpenoid). HHC-P is produced industrially by hydrogenation of a THCP precursor or CBGP intermediate. It exists as an epimer mixture. Boiling point ~175 °C. It is lipophilic, sensitive to heat and light, and slowly oxidises in air. Analytically it is quantified by HPLC (acid form) and GC-MS (neutral form after decarboxylation) and appears on every modern Swiss batch COA.
