How does CBD work?
CBD acts on the endocannabinoid system, inhibits the breakdown of anandamide and activates serotonin and vanilloid receptors. It is anti-inflammatory, anxiolytic, relaxing and sleep-promoting — with no psychoactive effect. Onset 15–90 minutes, duration 4–8 hours.

Detailed answer
CBD is an indirect cannabinoid modulator: it blocks the FAAH enzyme that degrades anandamide, raising this «bliss cannabinoid». It also activates the 5-HT1A serotonin receptor (anxiolysis) and the TRPV1 vanilloid receptor (pain modulation). Onset: vaporisation 5–15 min, sublingual oil 30–60 min, capsules 60–90 min. Reported effects: relaxation, reduced anxiety, better sleep, less muscle tension. Clinically proven in epilepsy (Dravet, Lennox-Gastaut).
